Walmart Connect:
2025 China Seller Summit Talk Slide Design

Lead Designer | Cross-Cultural Adaptation | Rapid Turnaround (1.5 weeks)
As a bilingual designer, I was assigned to lead the design deck for Walmart Connect’s presenter, Kyle McWhirter, at the Walmart China Seller Summit, despite having only been with the company for four months at the time. This fast-paced, one-and-a-half-week project required me to independently develop a design direction that would resonate with the Chinese market while remaining visually aligned with Walmart Connect’s branding.
My Role and Process:

  • Finding Direction: When I first received the project, there was no existing design guidance. I took the initiative to spend a whole day digging into our internal design archives to identify relevant materials and potential visual directions.

  • Iterative Design: The deck went through three major design overhauls. Each iteration involved close collaboration and constant feedback loops with multiple stakeholders to ensure the presentation was not only visually appealing but also culturally relevant for the Chinese market.

  • Final Execution: After finalizing the design direction over the last few days, I worked intensively to deliver the complete presentation deck and created new mock-up videos to enhance visual quality.

Outcome: The final presentation successfully captured the attention of the summit audience and was well-received by both the Walmart Connect leadership team and the China market stakeholders. This project strengthened my skills in cross-cultural design, independent decision-making, and agile collaboration under tight deadlines.
